How we handle your information when you enquire with us or use this site.

Simmark (ABN 89 611 230 561) is a family-run electrical, solar and air conditioning business with three branches across the Shoalhaven, Illawarra and Southern Highlands. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it and how to reach us about it. When you make an enquiry through this site, we collect what you give us: your name, email address, phone number, property address, the service you're asking about and anything you include in your message.
When you use the address checker, we use the address you enter to confirm whether you're in our service area. If you go on to make an enquiry, that address carries across so you don't have to type it twice.
When you call us from one of our Google ads, Google may show you a forwarding number and report the time, duration and caller number to us as statistics. We do not record phone calls.
Like most websites, we also collect some information automatically: analytics and advertising cookies (described below), and our security tools log technical details, including IP addresses, to help block malicious traffic.
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange site visits, prepare quotes, carry out and service work, keep sensible records of jobs, measure whether our advertising is working and keep this site secure. We only use your information to run the business you contacted. We don't sell it and we don't send marketing you haven't asked for.
Your enquiry lands in our own job management systems, where access is limited to the people who need it to do the work. We also use a small number of service providers to run the site and the business: Google (website analytics, advertising measurement and our email), Mapbox (the address checker and the maps on this site) and our Australian website hosting provider. Some of these providers, including Google and Mapbox, store information on servers located overseas, mainly in the United States.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site, and Google Ads conversion measurement to tell whether our advertising works. You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
This website is hosted in Australia. We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above and for reasonable business record-keeping, and we take practical steps to protect it.
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you by emailing contact@simmark.com.au. If you have a privacy concern, raise it with us first and we'll do our best to sort it out. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
