Matt Simms, Simmark General Manager recently met an inspiring group of young adults from St John the Evangelist Catholic High School, Nowra to talk about  solar power, new home battery technology and the future of harnessing renewable energy.  Returning to his own school some 10 years after leaving, Matt shared his career path with the Year 12 Physics students and his job running Simmark’s expanding business through out the Shoalhaven, Illawarra and Southern Highlands and working in the dynamic renewable energy sector. In a short presentation Matt engaged the students discussing the fundamentals of solar systems, solar home design methods and he also explained the Tesla Powerwall 2 and it’s uses to reduce energy costs of local home owners. The future for these students to work locally in the renewable energy space looks positive with latest data showing a solar rush across the region, and across Australia with record numbers of home owners and businesses take advantage of the benefits of solar and battery systems.

Thanks to the teaching team at St John the Evangelist Catholic High School, Nowra and good luck to all the students now head towards their final exams.  Talk to the team at Simmark about a tailored solar / battery solution for your home or business.
